DAY 1 Perth – Cairns (L/D)
Following your home pick up you will be transferred to Perth domestic airport for your flight to Cairns. On arrival the coach will pick you up and take you to your hotel where you will meet other guests and enjoy dinner. Overnight: Rainbow Inn Cairns


DAY 2 Kuranda Train and Skyway (B/D)

After breakfast take in the spectacular scenery as your train climbs from Cairns to the village of Kuranda to the historic rail station covered in ferns found only in the tropics. Purchase your own lunch in the rainforest village before taking a spectacular skyrail journey that glides just above the tropical rainforest canopy. We then travel back to Cairns for dinner. Overnight: Rainbow Inn Cairns


DAY 3 Green Island (B/L/D)

Today after breakfast board the ‘Big cat’ for a cruise to Green Island on the Great Barrier Reef. See corals from a glass bottom boat. Enjoy lunch before returning to the mainland with dinner at the motel. Overnight: Rainbow Inn Cairns

 


DAY 4 Cairns City Tropical North (B/D)

Following breakfast today is yours to explore this tropical city of Cairns. Purchase your lunch at the many cafes or restaurants before returning to the motel for your evening meal. Overnight: Rainbow Inn Cairns

 


DAY 5 Cairns – Townsville (B/L/D)

Townsville is our destination for today. We depart Cairns after breakfast for a magic drive along the coast to Innisfall for morning tea and then sit back and let the beautiful scenery pass as we make our way to Ingham and have lunch. We then continue south along the Bruce Highway to Townsville for the night. Overnight: Comfort Inn Townsville


DAY 6 Townsville – Winton(B/L/D)

After breakfast we make our way to Charters Towers for morning tea and a tour of the grand old buildings that came with the gold rush days. We then travel to Highenden and cattle station country for lunch. We now make our way along the highway to Winton whilst singing ‘Waltzing Matilda’. Winton was where this song was written. Overnight: Boulder Opal Motor Inn Winton


DAY 7 Winton (B/L/D)


We visit the Waltzing Matilda Centre and the Qantilda museum and enjoy morning tea. We then travel to the outback regional gallery for lunch before enjoying some free time in the afternoon. Overnight: Boulder Opal Motor Inn Winton


DAY 8 Winton – Longreach (B/L/D)


Following breakfast we enjoy morning tea and lunch enroute as we make our way to Longreach for the next two nights. Enjoy a complimentary drink over dinner tonight. Overnight: Albert Park Motor Inn Longreach

 

DAY 9 Longreach (B/L/D)

Today we visit the Stockman’s Hall of Fame and enjoy morning tea before spending some time in the Outback Heritage Centre. We then enjoy lunch before visiting the Qantas Museum and taking a tour of a fully equipped 747 aircraft. Overnight: Albert Park Motor Inn Longreach

DAY 10 Longreach – Charleville (B/L/D)

Charleville is our destination today. After breakfast we make our way to Barcaldine for morning tea and a tour of the historic town. We then travel to Blackall for lunch and take a visit and guided tour of the old Blackall woolscour. Sit back and relax as we travel on to Charleville for dinner and your overnight accommodation and evening meal. Overnight: Charleville Motel

DAY 11 Charleville – Bourke (B/L/D)

This morning we travel to Cunnamulla for morning tea on the banks of the Warrego River and then travel over the New South Wales border. Lunch is enroute as we make our way further south along the Mitchell Highway to Bourke and our accommodation for the next two nights on the banks of the Darling River. Overnight: Major Mitchell Motel Bourke

DAY 12 Bourke (B/D)

This morning is free for you to relax and explore this famous town. Visit some of the historic buildings and purchase your lunch at one of the many pubs. Talk to a local about life around ‘the back of Bourke’. This afternoon there is a cruise on the mighty Darling River aboard the Paddleboat ‘Jandra’. Overnight: Major Mitchell Motel Bourke

DAY 13 Bourke – Broken Hill (B/L/D)

After breakfast today we leave historic Bourke and make our way to Cobar the home of copper mining and pastoral heritage. We enjoy morning tea along the Kidman Highway and then travel along the Barrier Highway to Wilcannia for lunch in this opal mining town. Sit back and relax as we make our way to Broken Hill over Mt Gipps for the next two nights. Overnight: Comfort Inn Hilltop Broken Hill

DAY 14 Broken Hill (B/L/D)

Following breakfast its time to explore the home of Pro Hart and view his works at the Pro Hart Gallery. We also visit an underground mine and have lunch at an historic hotel. There is some free time this afternoon for you to explore the town before your evening meal. Overnight: Comfort Inn Hilltop Broken Hill

DAY 15 Broken Hill – Adelaide (B/L/D)

We leave Broken Hill today and make our way west over the South Australian border and enjoy morning tea along the Barrier Highway enroute to Peterborough where we shall have lunch. After lunch sit back and soak in the wine regions of the Clare and Barossa Valley’s as we travel into Adelaide Overnight: Meridien Hotel North Adelaide

DAY 16 Adelaide City (B/D)

Following breakfast we take a tour of the city of churches and have morning tea at Glenelg then travel back to the city for you to explore Rundall Mall and its many shops and cafes to purchase your own lunch. Overnight: Meridien Hotel North Adelaide

DAY 17 Adelaide - Perth (B/L)

Relax in the hotel after breakfast before being transferred by coach to Adelaide domestic airport for your flight back to Perth where you will be transferred to your home.
